I’m sure I am not the first
person to tell you what a difference you puppy day
care has made for his/her dog. I enjoy taking
Buddy to the obedience classes, but the daycare
setting is where he really gets to burn off some
of that Labrador energy!! It was never as apparent
as it was two weeks ago. As you know, he was
neutered, and the doctor did not want him to do
anything for one week. (Virtually impossible with
him) But, he stayed home, and he was a different
dog. Not only did he get into way more mischief,
but you could tell that he missed playing with the
other dogs. The day I brought him back, he was so
excited!! (and I know he probably did not stop
playing the whole day!!) Anyway, I think that he
is a much happier dog when he is with his friends,
and I know he is burning off a lot of excess
energy. I actually feel badly if there is a day
that I can’t bring him!! Thanks so much for your
program, I can’t imagine what it would be like
without it!!

Receiving your guidance on
how to raise this puppy has made all the
difference and has turned a stressful situation
into a positive one that is manageable. From
walking the dog, to crating her, to teaching her
to sit, lie down, wait and "leave it", no stone
was unturned. We have learned so much from you,
and in a way that is kind and humane to our dog.
After class, my husband laughed at my nickname for
you, the Dog Whisperer. Now, however, he calls you
that too, as our dog has responded to our
commands. There have been times raising this puppy
where I have gotten discouraged trying to manage 3
children, a hectic schedule, a husband with long
work hours and a very active puppy. But always
after class, things came back into focus and back
into control. Thank you for all your insight and
wisdom - it has made all the difference to
us!

My husband and I bought
our first dog last year and were thrilled until he
landed at Logan. His timid apathetic demeanor left
us confused and nervous. Becky was able to put our
minds at ease and coach us through the process of
bringing Buddy out of his shell. She has been
exceedingly patient with us and our numerous
questions and her limitless knowledge of canine
behavior and training has made an enormous
difference in our lives. We couldn't be more
grateful for her help and recommend her to help
with your dog without reservation!

I first met Becky during a
make up class for puppy kindergarten. It was
obvious from the very moment she started speaking
to us that she loved her job and took a genuine
interest in the dogs and owners she met. At that
time I was struggling with my new puppy and was
desperate for help. After class I spoke with one
of the other instructors and she told me about
Becky’s daycare facility. I e-mailed Becky the
next morning and as luck would have it she had an
opening. Every Tuesday and Thursday I bring Lily
to daycare and she is always anxious to get up the
driveway to see Becky and her playmates. The
routine has been wonderful for Lily as well as the
socialization, exercise and reinforcement of her
training. We are able to enjoy our time together
more now that she is getting the exercise she
needs. I’ve come to rely upon Becky for a glimpse
into Lily’s day, training tips and general
questions. Lily and I lucky to have found her.

Our dog, Lucie,
is the original “big red dog.” She’s tall and
lanky and has a big head. One would think, based
on her size alone, that she’s a dog who can handle
anything – that she’s tough. Well, our bloodhound
is anything but tough and sure of herself! Lucie,
now 22 months old, is a chicken in a big dog’s
body. When she went to puppy kindergarten, all the
little puppies jumped on her and each other and
she leaned on the nearest human, trembling. When
she sees a dog or human while on a walk, the hair
on her back stands up and she starts to shake.
Other than at home, she’s comfortable only one
other place: Pawsitive Steps, with Becky Pelletier
and her staff. Becky treats Lucie as if she’s her
own. Becky speaks to Lucie in a sweet, calm voice.
When we bring Lucie to her twice-weekly day care,
she can’t wait to get up the driveway and into the
backyard to be with Becky. We trust Becky’s
handling of our dog and appreciate her insights
into Lucie’s personality. It is not an
understatement to say that Becky has made a huge,
positive difference in Lucie’s life, and in our
lives.

Steve and I want to
thank you for teaching us how to train and live
with a well-behaved puppy. But, please let me
start at the beginning. We got Brandi, a Vizsla,
when she was 10 weeks old. We started your puppy
classes soon after we got her. Brandi had a great
time with all the other dogs and she was very
receptive to learn her basic commands. She did so
well that we decided to go on to post graduate
puppy course. It is very reassuring that when I
open the front door and ask her to wait she sits
right down and does not run away. She comes when
we call her and very rarely does she jump on
people. This is all thanks to you, Becky, and how
you train your dogs with love and kindness. The
best part is taking her for a walk and she stays
by our side and we do not get pulled down the
street. Of course, it's also fun to have her do
her special “tricks" to entertain company. She is
always good for a laugh or smile. Because Vizsla's
can be high-energy dogs we did not want her to be
bored. So on Tuesday and Thursday she does to
Pawsitive Steps for "puppy daycare". We can see
such a happy and contented dog in her. She loves
playing with all her dog friends and her good
behavior is due to your positive reinforcement of
her training. As soon as Brandi hears Becky's
voice she gets so excited to see her, and other
then us, she loves Becky so much. The best
testimonial I can give is 2 weeks ago we had a
huge family party at our home of over 30 people.
The quests ranged in age from 10 months to 86
years. Brandi was a model hostess and the hit of
the party. Everyone said how well behaved she was
and she interacted with all the young ones and
older people as well with no problem. We will
continue to send Brandi to Pawsitive Steps as long
as we can and we know that is the best thing we
can do for Brandi. To have a happy and
well-adjusted dog that is a joy to our
family.
