Alyssa
Morin
Alyssa Morin resides in
Cape Ann, Massachusetts with her two dogs, a rabbit,
a cat and a fish. Alyssa met Becky as a student
in Becky’s Kennel Class at
North Shore Community College. Becky was so
impressed with Alyssa that when she moved to Maine
and needed someone to run the kennel she managed
in MA, Alyssa was her first choice. The rest is
history! Alyssa has been working under Becky for
numerous years learning everything from basic
training skills to behavior modification.
Alyssa has her Associates Degree in Animal
Care from NSCC. She has worked the full gamete of
pet related jobs from veterinary receptionist to
daycare and boarding manager. She also
participates in rescue, working mostly with
Greyhound and pit bull rescue, but is a sucker for
any “bully breed” or Sighthound. She is active in
the fight against BSL (Breed Specific Legislation)
and breed discrimination. Currently she is the
official evaluator for Pawsitive Steps.
Alyssa’s 8 year old Greyhound, Wally, is a
CGC certified therapy dog, and loves participating
in the Reading to Rover program that Becky runs.
To him there is nothing in life better than being
read to, and pet by children. Alyssa’s 1 year old
Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog, Athena, has been
working hard at agility; so keep your eyes open
for her to start competing in the summer of ‘08!
Alyssa has worked with personal protection dogs in
the past and is currently dabbling in PSA.
Hopefully you will see her on the field within the
next two years, either with a dog or in a bite
suit!
Alyssa can be reached at
